I am pleased to let you know that ASME has come out with an Announcement about this publication and is accepting “pre-orders”.
As of today, I have posted ALL of the 38 completed first proofs on this web site. We have been extremely slow in ratifying these proofs in spite of contributors having them for nearly a month in providing responses. As an Editor it is my responsibility to let you have a look at what you authored before it gets published.
However, for the Second and Final Proofs I intend to exercise my “Editorial Privilege” and OK the Second Proofs after satisfying myself that ASME Staff and Copy Editors have not overlooked any of the corrections for the “First Proofs”. If any of you intend to look at second proofs, with the proviso of a 72-hour turn over, I need a response from you IMMEDIATELY AND NO LATR THAN 4-27-12. This way we will be able to avoid “incremental corrections”.
To avoid a ‘mumbo-jumbo’ of communications and submissions with ASME Press, I did not forward any of the front matter comprising of bios, pictures and introduction that appears in each volume. I intend to do it within the next ten days. IF ANY OF YOU HAVE NOT YET SUBMITTED FRONT MATTER UPDATES, I NEED THEM NOW, AND WILL BE CONSTRAINED NOT TO ACCEPT ANY NEW INPUTS AFTER 4-25-12 PM.
We have slipped several deadlines and I intend to close this effort no later than May 15, 2012. I count on your cooperation to achieve this target.
